التاريخ: 23 مايو، 2025 تعد مايكروسوفت من بين الشركات التي تطالب آبل بالتقاعس، حيث قدمت بلاغا قانونيا داعما لشركة Epic Games يوضح تأخير إطلاق متجر Xbox على الهواتف. وأشارت مايكروسوفت إلى أن سياسات آبل في تطبيقات iOS تعيق تغييراتها المخطط لها، مثل السماح بعمليات الدفع عبر منصات خارجية. وكانت الخطة تتيح للمستخدمين إجراء المدفوعات خارج تطبيق آبل، لكن تدخلها أعاق تطبيق هذه الخطة. ورغم أن بعض التطبيقات عادت إلى متجر App Store، إلا أن مايكروسوفت لا تزال تترقب القرارات المستقبلية لتجنب سحب متجرها، في ظل النزاع الذي يتوقع أن يؤثر على شركات التكنولوجيا ومتاجر التوزيع على المدى البعيد.
من الواضح أن نزاعات بين الشركات التكنولوجية كبيرة مثل مايكروسوفت وآبل تؤثر بشكل كبير على الصناعة بأسرها. يبدو أن هذا الصراع بين الشركتين لا يزال يتصاعد وقد يؤثر على العديد من اللاعبين الآخرين في الصناعة. الأسئلة التفاعلية التي يمكن طرحها هي: هل يمكن للحكومات التدخل لحل هذه الصراعات وتطبيق سياسات تنظيمية؟ هل هناك حلول تعاونية ممكنة بين الشركات لتجنب هذه النزاعات في المستقبل وضمان مواءمة سياساتها مع بعضها البعض؟
“Microsoft blames Apple for delaying the launch of the Xbox app store on smartphones,” a new amicus brief filed this week in support of Epic Games explained. Microsoft pointed out that the rules imposed by Apple on in-app purchases within iOS apps were hindering their plans, which include allowing users to make payments through external platforms. Microsoft stated in the brief: “The court order that Apple is appealing prevents them from enforcing the use of their payment system only within apps, which opens the door for companies like Microsoft to provide alternatives to consumers. However, Apple’s circumvention of the decision has hindered our ability to launch these offerings.” Microsoft’s plan was to allow users of the Xbox app, as well as games like Minecraft and Candy Crush, to make payments outside of Apple’s app, through links that direct users to their own purchasing sites, similar to what Spotify and Amazon have recently done.
